Citizen Kane Movie Review

    "Citizen Kane" was created, directed and produced by Orson Welles and he was also the star of the movie! This film was produced in 1941 and wasn't very popular within America. The film didn't even make the money back to pay for the costs for the production of the film. In 1956, "Citizen Kane" had its reputation restored by the French and most critics called it the greatest movie of all time. This film is about a story of a man named Charles Foster Kane (Orson Welles) and his life of being a wealthy media proprietor. In the first scene, Mr. Kane whispers the word "Rosebud" then dies of old age. A detective is faced with a challenge of finding how who Mr. Kane is and what his last words meant. He interviews many different people who used to be in Mr. Kane's life. Almost the whole movie is shown with flashbacks of Mr. Kane's childhood and how he became a successful and rich man, but then loosing it all in the end.

    In my opinion I did not enjoy watching this film. To me it was boring and I couldn't keep much focus on the movie's story line, yet I had enough focus to understand it. "Citizen Kane" was a bit dramatic and kind of mysterious at some points, which did make the movie have some feeling in it. I had no interests really in this movie but it wasn't so bad that I couldn't stand it. I would probably never watch this movie again because I’ve already seen it, and also does not pull me back to think it’s that good to watch again. I recommend this movie to people who like stories of lives and a bit of mystery. I rate this movie 200 out of 500 skate board fails.

Bringing Up Baby movie review

    This interesting screwball comedy was created by Howard Hawks and it was staring Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant. It was produced in 1938 by Cliff Reid and Howard Hawks and was not very popular at all, it even got Howard fired from his next film! Later on to this day, it is rated top 100 greatest movie in america as well as the 15th funniest of all time! The main story of "Bringing Up Baby" is a paleontologist named David Huxley(Cary Grant) is trying to get a large donation from Mrs. Random(May Robson) for his museum. Along the way he meets with Susan Vance(Katherine Hepburn) who is a great threat to David recieving a donation money because she causes trouble for him around every corner. Susan askes for help to bring a leopard named Baby, sent by her brother Mark, to her Aunt, which is Mrs. Random. It is a crazy mixed-up film which will keep you saying "What the heck!?"

   My vision of this weird film is that it was not too bad. At some points, this movie got me thinking "This girl Susan is messing up David's whole life, she is realy annoying!" but overall, i did enjoy this movie. At some times it was very comedic, but at other times it was iritating to listen to all the fighting and how everybody was talking at the same time. It was entertaining and kept me on the edge of my seat wondering if David was going to succeed or fail miserably. I recomend this movie to classical comedy lovers and crazy people. I would rate this movie 3.7 out of 5 Coca Cola bottles.
